Delta ID Inc., has announced its ActiveIRIS software for performance testing of integrated mobile devices used for Aadhaar authentication. The performance testing was held by STQC in collaboration with C-DAC and Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), under the Ministry of Electronics and IT of the Government of India, during May 2016 in New Delhi. Delta ID's ActiveIRIS software integrated in the Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris was also the first to be awarded provisional certification by STQC prior to the Performance Testing.

With smartphones getting smarter, augmented reality (AR) mobile games like Pokémon GO are trending across the world. Mr Hemant Singh, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Houssup, an ecommerce platform for interior design, said, "Augmented reality market will radically increase the consumer engagement time with various brands, depending on the quality of the content, the engagement time will be 5X-10X, which in turn will raise the conversion ratio for the brands. Thus we can safely assume that brands doing Augmented Reality based advertisement will see 5x- 10x jump in their revenues and profits."
IDC reports that the worldwide smartwatch market took a sharp downward turn for the first time. The smartwatch market suffered a loss of 32% as the smartwatch vendors shipped 3.5 million unit in the second quarter of 2016 (2Q16) which was very low as compared to the 5.1 million units shipped a year ago. IDC reports that Apple topped the market list with 1.6 million smartwatch shipped and an estimated 47 percent market share. However, it was the only company which suffered an annual decline in shipments.
