Social networking giant Facebook is reportedly working on its Facebook Messenger app for iOS devices. According to 9to5mac, the Facebook Messenger app for iPad would essentially be a larger version of the iPhone application with one-to-one messaging, group chatting, push notifications, the ability to see friend locations on a map and more. In an effort to make it easier for you to be able to communicate better with people who don’t speak the same language, Google has rolled out automatic language translation feature on Gmail. Over the next few days, Gmail users will get the convenience of translation added to their email. News is abuzz that Indian handset vendor Karbonn Mobiles is geared up to launch its own instant messenger for mobile phones (similar to BBM or Samsung’s ChatOn service) which are priced below Rs 5,000. According to an Economic Times report, the vendor will also introduce its pushmail service within the next 10 days. Today RIM has not only shown its new Cascading UI for BlackBerry 10 but it has also unraveled what all is in store for its next generation Operating System which should be launched later this year. BlackBerry smartphone maker RIM has revealed which all gaming titles are in the pipeline for its PlayBook tablet and for its upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices. After Angry Birds Space, the second most anticipated title which has made its way to the PlayBook is the Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Instagram, the popular photo-sharing app, now has more than 50 million users and adds roughly about 5 million users on a weekly basis. The app was recently gobbled up by social networking giant Facebook last month for $1 billion. According to Mashable, Instagram hit 30 million users during the beginning of April and then crossed 40 million users by mid-April. Indian handset vendor Karbonn Mobiles has announced its partnership Dolby Laboratories because of which the vendor will soon be launching an entire new range of handsets featuring the Dolby Sound tech. HP is reportedly working on a Windows 8 business tablet that will be called the HP Slate 8. This information was leaked in a slide during an internal company presentation. After Sony’s Xperia Next series of devices, if you were thinking what is next in store then we feel you’re in luck today. Sony’s unannounced smartphone by the name of the Xperia ST21i has been spotted by the guys at Techblog.
