Few days from now, US President Barack Obama will be stepping down, making way for the newly elected Donald Trump. Before leaving, Obama and his wife Michelle Obama have a little gift for everyone. They recorded a tour of the White House shot by virtual reality film studio Felix & Paul. That tour went online for Oculus VR headsets and Facebook 360-degree video, and Mark Zuckerberg has posted the same on his page.
Rumors about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy C7 Pro can now be put to rest as Samsung has unveiled the smartphone in China. The Galaxy C7 Pro is currently listed on Samsung’s website, and pre-orders are set to kick off in China tomorrow (January 16). There’s however no word on whether Samsung plans to launch the smartphone in other markets as well.
After a lot of buzz, Nokia’s comeback Android smartphone -- Nokia 6 -- was launched last week by HMD Global. Nokia 6, as of now is restricted to China, and it will be going on sale for the first time via JD.com on January 19. The smartphone is priced at RMB 1,699, which is approximately Rs 16,750. Looking at the registrations numbers, there’s no denying that people have been eagerly waiting for a Nokia smartphone.
There’s no stopping the Galaxy S8 rumor mills. Another day, and there’s another report about an alleged launch date for Samsung’s next flagship device. While some suggest that Samsung will make an appearance at MWC 2017, this new report claims that the Galaxy S8 will only launch sometime in April.
After Nokia and Huawei, Motorola has announced that it will be holding a press event at Mobile World Congress on February 26. Motorola will kick start the event at 4.30PM local time, which is 9.00PM IST. The invite doesn’t really reveal anything much, and shows a smartphone with “Hello Moto” written on it.
