Stop bragging about 3D Touch on the iPhone because Android O is bringing that feature to the Android world

Stop bragging about 3D Touch on the iPhone because Android O is bringing that feature to the Android world

I’ve been an Android user for majority of the time since I started using smartphones. A few of my friends have been Apple iPhone users right from iPhone 4 days, and have never switched to Android since then. With the iPhone 6s-series and above, Apple introduced a ‘revolutionary’ 3D Touch feature to interact with apps. And since then, my friends have been harping about the same, and how such a cool feature is not available on Android. Turns out, I don’t need to splurge money on an expensive iPhone to get 3D Touch. Android O Beta: A quick look at the refreshed interface, picture-in-picture feature, notification dots and more

At the I/O 2017 developer conference earlier this month, Google announced the rollout of Android O Public Beta. It's a pre-release version meant for developers so they can try out the features beforehand, and also optimize their apps before the final version is rolled out to the masses. The beta version is compatible with Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. I installed the Android O Public Beta on the Pixel XL to try out new features. More →

Samsung Galaxy S8 review: A combination of beauty, beast and near-perfection!

If you look at premium Android smartphones out there, metal frames and unibody designs have become the norm. In fact, almost every other flagship smartphone just brings the bump in specifications. Last year's Galaxy S7 was different, it raised a bar for “premium” Android smartphones, yet the wow factor was missing. But that completely changes with the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. More →

More →

Asus Zenfone Live (ZB501KL) review: Move beyond selfie phones, enter live video

In recent times, smartphone manufacturers have shifted their focus from the usual price and specifications wars, to the niche, selfie-loving audience.
