Samsung's chairman Lee Kun-hee has been ordered by the Supreme Court of India to appear before a trial court in Ghaziabad in a criminal case, PTI reports. The court has ordered that the arrest warrant agains Kun-hee may not be executed for six weeks. More →

RCom’s iPhone 5 3G data plans revealed

As expected, the iPhone 5 is live on RCom, which the company will officially announce via a press release later today. We now have a detailed list of plans that RCom is offering to new iPhone users who come on to its network. At the moment, it isn't clear whether the plans are for the CDMA or GSM variant of the iPhone 5, considering RCom operates networks on both technologies. Mobile phones would be getting more expensive this fiscal year, especially those that cost more than Rs 2,000 as they will now attract an excise duty of 6 percent. Finance Minister P Chidambram made the announcement while tabling the annual budget in the Parliament today. More →
