Samsung has cut prices of its popular Galaxy range of smartphones in India. The Galaxy S III received the biggest price drop of Rs 3,000 for both 16GB and 32GB variants, according to our friends at PriceBaba.com. On Flipkart, the Galaxy S III 16GB variant is now available for Rs 31,900 while the 32GB variant is available for Rs 34,900 on Saholic. The Galaxy S III, which was launched in June this year for Rs 43,000, has received a price drop of 25 percent in last six months! (more…)Google+

Samsung has announced that it has shipped 5 million Galaxy Note devices in 5 months since its launch last year in October. Samsung has announced a competition for app developers in India to develop apps for the Galaxy Note, especially ones that make use of the stylus, which Samsung calls the S-Pen. Samsung has just released a teaser of the upcoming Angry Birds title called ‘Space’ on its official YouTube page. According to the teaser Angry Birds Space will come exclusively first to the Samsung Galaxy Note, most probably through the Samsung App Store and will be optimized for the S-Pen on the Galaxy Note. Ever since its launch in November, the Samsung Galaxy Note has become India’s favourite ‘phablet’. Now adding to its Indian charm Samsung has just released an OTA update for the hybrid, which adds a Hindi keyboard.
