Intel shows off Haswell platform, takes the fight to ARM

Intel yesterday revealed more information about its incoming fourth generation Haswell platform at the Intel Developer forum. Haswell, like the current generation Ivy Bridge processors is based on the 22nm 3D Trigate transistor technology, and like Ivy Bridge it is all about power management and graphical performance, while the CPU performance gains remain rather incremental, than ground breaking. HP quietly brings ‘IVY Bridge’ powered Pavilion notebooks

Intel’s next generation IVY Bridge chipset has been long rumored to be delayed, but it looks like these rumors of delays have been exaggerated, as HP yesterday released it’s latest line of Pavilion notebooks — the dv6, dv7, and the dv4 all with the new IVY bridge processors and also the g4, which uses the older Sandy Bridge chipset. Razor shows off ‘Project Fiona’ tablet with dual controllers and Intel Ivy Bridge

Razor, a company famous for its gaming peripherals has shown off its ‘Project Fiona’ Windows 8 tablet at CES in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Project Fiona is a tablet aimed towards gamers as it dons twin game controllers on either side and is going to be powered by Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge based core i7 processors. According to the press release the device is still a prototype, but the company is targeting a Q4 release with sticker price south of $1000.Google+
