Earlier this week Apple announced its annual update to iOS, which brings in a slew of new features including Apple’s own maps in lieu of Google Maps, deep Facebook integration and much more. While the new OS will be available on all devices that Apple is still retailing (including the three-year-old iPhone 3GS!) not all features will be supported by older devices like the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad 2. If you have one of these devices, check out which features will be available on your device once iOS...

New iPad battery 70 percent larger than the iPad 2

By: Rajat Agrawal |Mar 9th, 2012 at 05:33PM
Filed Under: Apple, News, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad 3

Everyone is tripping on the Retina Display, the 5.0 MP camera with the same optics as the iPhone 4S and LTE connectivity, one of the biggest things Apple has done with its next generation iPad (“the New iPad) is maintaining the same battery performance as the iPad 2. Maintaining the same price and battery life (if not improving it) has become a hallmark of all new Apple products and the 2012 iPad is no different. Mind you, having a high resolution Retina Display and LTE connectivity are big battery guzz...

Apple slashes price of iPad 2 32GB, 64GB variants too in India

By: Rajat Agrawal |Mar 9th, 2012 at 11:53AM
Filed Under: Apple, Exclusives, News, Tablets, iPad 2 3G, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G

Apple might have slashed the price of only the iPad 2 16GB in the US (and India), making many (including us) conclude it had discontinued the 32GB and 64GB variants. However, it seems like a grey area at the moment and we are not sure whether Apple is phasing them out or discontinuing them as we now have official slashed prices of the iPad 2 32GB and 64GB variants. The 32GB Wi-Fi only will now cost Rs 30,500 (down Rs 4,000) and 3G version will cost Rs 38,900 (down Rs 3,000). The 64GB Wi-Fi only is now priced a...

Apple slashes iPad 2 price in India, now available for Rs 24,500 for Wi-Fi and Rs 32,900 for 3G 16GB variant

By: Rajat Agrawal |Mar 8th, 2012 at 03:58PM
Filed Under: Apple, News, Tablets, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G

Apple has announced new prices for the iPad 2 in India. The 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad 2 will cost Rs 24,500 while the 16GB 3G variant Rs 32,900. Apple has discontinued the 32GB and 64GB variants of the iPad 2 as their prices would have overlapped with those of the new iPad, creating confusion for potential buyers. We believe that the 16GB Wi-Fi variant at Rs 24,500 is a killer deal and is most likely to force other tablet vendors to slash prices of their products too.Google+

It’s not the new iPad but the iPad 2 that will kill Android tablets

By: Rajat Agrawal |Mar 8th, 2012 at 02:04AM
Filed Under: Apple, Features, Opinions, Tablets, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad 3

Everyone (including us) is buzzing about the “new iPad” that Apple has just unveiled, but Android tablet vendors would be worrying about last year’s iPad 2 than the new one that is set to hit some countries next week. Apple has successfully been able to manage a two-year shelf life for the iPad (three years for the iPhone), something that Android vendors have been unable to do with usual shelf life of their products not exceeding nine months, barring exceptions like the Samsung Galaxy S II. ...

By: Rajat Agrawal |Jan 25th, 2012 at 08:13PM
Filed Under: Apple, News, iPad, iPad 2 3G, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad 2 sales, iPad market share, iPad shipments, quarterly earnings

Yesterday’s Apple earnings call had way too many gems, courtesy CEO Tim Cook, that we are still reporting tid-bits from the call. Take for instance, Cook’s response to a query on how low-cost tablets, especially Amazon’s Kindle Fire had an impact on iPad sales. Cook mentioned during the call that he had looked carefully at iPad sales number on a weekly basis after the Kindle Fire launch and is convinced it did not have any impact on iPad sales. He followed that with a barrage that one expect...

Apple iPad 2 launch in Delhi and Mumbai

By: Rajat Agrawal |Apr 29th, 2011 at 07:53AM
Filed Under: Apple, iPad 2 3G, iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad 2 event, iPad 2 launch, iPad 2 supply

The iPad 2 went on sale in India today and initial reports indicate that most of the stores have run out of the limited units they had to offer within the first hour. Some stores still had a couple of units of the Wi-Fi version but we failed to find even a single unit of the 3G version where ever we checked in Delhi. Stocks are expected to be replenished sometime next week. While you wait for your turn, check out some images from iMagine stores in Saket (Delhi) and Andheri (Mumbai).Google+
