Last week Apple slashed prices of the iPhone 4 8GB (Rs 28,300) and the iPhone 4S 16GB (Rs 41,500), as was exclusively reported by BGR India. Earlier this week Apple announced its annual update to iOS, which brings in a slew of new features including Apple’s own maps in lieu of Google Maps, deep Facebook integration and much more. Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant service on the iPhone 4S, currently only supports English, French, German and Japanese. Foxconn, which assembles most of Apple’s hardware, will double the size of its Zhengzhou production facility in China. Apple is on track to sell a record number of iPhone handsets in the December quarter thanks to the launch of its latest smartphone, the iPhone 4S.
