Apple’s annual iteration of its mobile operating system, iOS 8 is now available for the global audience to download. While last year’s upgrade was a design overhaul, iOS 8 entails a bunch of small features, including better notifications, better keyboards and typing. However, post installation many users had to undergo many shockers as they realised that the OS required them to free up 5GB space resulting into deleting lots of data. Users were shocked to find no Camera roll on their new update. There was also major disappointment when people found out that the option to toggle between 3G and 2G has gone forever. As expected, Apple has released iOS 8 today at 10:30PM IST. While many iPhone and iPad users were eagerly waiting to download the update, most were in for a shock when the slightly under 1GB update file required almost 6GB of free space to install. This is a bummer, especially for iPhone 5C 8GB users and anyone else who has been using their iPhones for a while and doesn't have enough space on their device.
