Huawei will be hosting a press conference in Delhi on June 18 where it is expected to launch the Ascend Mate phablet. But before the official launch the 6.1-inch phablet is already available on Infibeam for Rs 28,900 and is also being offered under zero percent EMI schemes. (more…)Google+

So far much has been seen about the design bit of the Huawei Ascend P6 in its teased photos, but there is nothing much known on the specifications front. Now a couple of days prior to the official unveiling, @evleaks has leaked a purported set of the major specifications to give us a better picture of the phone. (more…)Google+

Huawei has a penchant for teasing its products before their official launches. Their CEO in particular tends to jump the gun and talks about future products before they are launched. This time around PhoneArena has spotted a press photo of the P6 posted on Huawei CEO, Richard Yu’s Facebook profile. The photo is similar to the one earlier leaked by @evleaks and Yu has gone into great detail about the design and ergonomics of the phone which the company plans to launch on June 18 in London. Huawei it seems is working on expanding its Windows Phone 8 smartphones portfolio by adding the successor to the Ascend W1 launched a few months back at the CES. Huawei’s long time rumored thin, metallic phone, the Ascend P6, has been spotted in official renderings. According to the Engadget Chinese, the photos were posted by @evleaks on Sina Weibo along with a confirmation note from the Richard Yu, device chairman, Huawei for a short while before the comments were pulled down. After launching the Ascend Y210D, Ascend Y300 and the G510 in the last couple of months, Chinese mobile vendor Huawei seems to be gearing up for another launch in India. We have earlier reported on Huawei working on its new flagship device, which is expected to feature specifications similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S 4. Now, images of Huawei’s next device rumored to be named as EDGE and featuring an aluminum frame, have surfaced online. Nowhereelse has posted images of an aluminum body case for Huawei EGDE smartphone, which apparently carries features similar to the Huawei flagship for 2013 that we had reported earlier. E-commerce portals have become the launchpad for a lot of smartphones players and are also seen showcasing phones before their official launch. The latest to be spotted on Flipkart are Huawei’s Ascend G510 and Ascend Y300 smartphones which are available for pre-booking.
