LG Electronics has announced to begin rolling out LTE TDD capable smartphones across the world, starting from today. The company plans to introduce LTE TDD devices this year in several regions including India, China, North America, Japan and Australia, followed by other countries. (more…)Google+

Rumors about the next Nexus device are coming in thick and fast as we get closer to the Google I/O, and the folks at @evleaks have now posted photos on their Twitter and Facebook pages which show an unspecified LG device. There has been a lot of excitement around flexible displays in phones, especially after Samsung showcased its prototype phone with such a display at this year’s CES. The LG Optimus G Pro is the next version of the Optimus G and competes with the likes of Samsung’s Note series and Sony’s Xperia Z. The Optimus G Pro is LG’s first to features a 5.5-inch display and despite holding such a massive screen is easy on grip and manages to look decent enough. Wireless charging is a feature currently only seen on high-end smartphones and is considered somewhat of a luxury by many. But in a move that could see this feature becoming more mainstream, HTC, LG and Samsung have joined Power Matters Alliance (PMA), a wireless charging advocacy group that plans to integrate its wireless charging standard in a wide range of smartphones by 2014. Offices of Samsung Electronics’ display-making unit have reportedly been searched by the South Korean police as a part of an investigation. The company has been accused for OLED technology theft, and thus investigators at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency searched for documents related to the technology at Samsung’s headquarter office in Asan. After announcing its Optimus L II series at Mobile World Congress in February, two of the phones in the series – the Optimus L3 II Dual and Optimus L7 II Dual have finally appeared on LG India’s website. We had earlier reported that LG was planning to release these two phones first and would be releasing L5 later.
