Ericsson has reportedly sued Micromax for patent infringement and has moved to the Delhi High Court according to a report by Economic Times. Reportedly, Ericsson is claiming Rs 100 crores in damages. Micromax is facing shipment delays and price hike for its highly anticipated Canvas HD Android smartphone. The company has sent mails to customers who had pre-booked the device via Snapdeal that their order would be delayed due to “procedural issues.” Micromax has also hiked the price of the Canvas HD to Rs 14,499 from its launch price of Rs 13,990, attributing it to the hike in excise duty as envisaged in this year’s annual budget.
