Micromax reacts to Motorola Moto G, slashes price of the Canvas Turbo Mini A200 to Rs 12,990

Just a few weeks after its discreet launch, Micromax's Canvas Turbo Mini A200 has gone through a price cut and is now available for Rs 12,990 instead of its launch price of Rs 14,490, which appears to be a reaction to the Motorola Moto G that launched in India earlier this month starting from Rs 12,990. Micromax has confirmed it to BGR India that it has slashed the price of the Canvas Turbo Mini to Rs 12,990, though the phone is still available for Rs 14,490 on Micromax's website. More →

Micromax smartphone biz head quits, probably headed to Oppo

Micromax's smartphone business head, Ajay Sharma, has quit the company, BGR India has learnt. Sharma had joined Micromax in December 2011 from HTC, where he was heading the Taiwanese smartphone vendor's India ops. Indian mobile phone brand Micromax launches in Russia, aims to release 14 smartphones in 2014

Micromax today announced it has launched its operations in Russia with a tie-up with VVP Group, a distributor known for introducing new brands. The partnership will bring the brand's Canvas and Bolt range of smartphones in over 9,000 retail outlets across Russia.
