Sony might exit from low-end smartphones to compete with Apple, Samsung

Sony Mobile is contemplating a move to exit from the entry-level smartphone segment in order to focus on key Sony features that can only be incorporated in premium and mid-tier devices. Stephen Sneeden, product marketing manager for Xperia, told CNet that the smartphone vendor is evaluating markets but believes that operating in the mid-tier to premium segment as the likely scenario. Sony Mobile to stop selling feature phones in India from September

Sony to launch SmartWatch in India for Rs 6,299 by June-end

Sony today announced it will be launching its SmartWatch accessory that can be paired with Android smartphones in India by the end of this month. Sony Xperia U now available in India for Rs 16,499 [updated]

After weeks of waiting, Sony’s Xperia U is now available in India. Online retailers Flipkart and Saholic are selling it for Rs 16,499.
