Mark Zuckerberg donates $500 million in Facebook stock to Silicon Valley Community Foundation

Facebook co-founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, today announced he and wife Priscilla have contributed 18 million Facebook shares to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. This amounts to nearly $500 million ($498.8 to be precise) on today’s closing price of $27.71. The Foundation will focus in areas in education and health. (more…)Google+

Facebook files for biggest Internet IPO in history at $5 billion

Facebook on Wednesday formally filed documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in its first step toward an upcoming initial public offering. Facebook plans to unveil ‘awesome’ features next week
