WeChat updates app for BlackBerry, adds location-based services

BlackBerry 7 will continue till full BlackBerry 10 portfolio is launched

At the annual shareholder meeting today, RIM CEO Thorsten Heins threw some more light over the company’s upcoming BlackBerry 10 (BB10) smartphones. RIM will launch a full-touch BB10 smartphone followed by one with a physical QWERTY keypad, a product segment in which RIM excels and continues to remain the market leader. RIM brings BBM to Facebook, Twitter

Android to double its market share in India in 2012 says analyst

According to a report by analysis firm Convergence Catalyst, the Indian smartphone market is expected to grow by 100 percent with 18 to 20 million devices being sold in the year in comparison to 9.5 million units sold in 2011. RIM renames BBX to BlackBerry 10 after losing legal battle

Research In Motion announced at its DevCon, which is currently underway in Singapore, that it has renamed its next smartphone platform from BBX to BlackBerry 10.
