With the widespread smartphone range, Samsung has proven that it has something for everyone. It seems that the company wants to play the same card when it comes to tablets too. So, while there the Tab 3 Neo lineup sitting at the lower end of the range, and Note Pro catering to the high end market, a new tablet has emerged to fill the gap, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. Displayed on Samsung India's e-store at Rs 36,340, the 10.1-inch tablet is yet to launch, and is currently listed as  "Not in Stock" on the website. More →

Asus aims to capture 10 percent of tablet market share in India

Taiwanese technology firm Asus today said it aims to grow its share in the Indian tablet market to 10 percent by the end of this year as it expands product portfolio and enhances retail presence across the country. "Currently, we have single digit market share between 3-5 percent. The Indian tablet market is estimated to be about 50 lakh units. We want to grow our share to 10 percent this year," Asus regional head South Asia and India manager system business group, Peter Chang told PTI. More →

Asus today launched the dual-SIM variant of the FonePad 7 in India, which was announced at the MWC earlier this year. This dual-SIM variant is essentially the same FonePad 7, which was announced last year at IFA in Berlin. The only differentiating factors are the additional SIM card slot and the price difference, which is partially due to the change in the chipset as well. Where the FonePad 7 (2013) was launched at Rs 17,499, the dual-SIM variant has been introduced today for Rs 12,999. We got to use the device at its launch event today, and here are first impressions. Asus today launched the FonePad 7 dual-SIM, a 7-inch voice calling tab for Rs 12,999 in India. Unveiled earlier at the Mobile World Congress, the tablet is the dual-SIM variant of the FonePad 7 launched last year and comes with a slightly different processor than last year's variant.
