E3 2018 is just round the corner, and we can’t help but feel a little excited. In the months leading up to one of the biggest events of the gaming world, companies have teased games that they plan to unveil this year. Here’s a round up all the games that are expected to launch at E3 2018.
The Last Of Us Part II
Yes, that is right, there is a sequel of the famed Last of Us in the works, and we are all set to get a look at it this time. Last of Us took the gaming world by storm with its extremely touching, and appealing storyline.
The Last Of Us Part II is set to take place five years after the end of the events of the first game, and players will be taking control of Ellie. And if rumors are to be believed, this time the theme is all set to be opposite of what it was last time.
Super Smash Bros.
Fans have been asking Nintendo for a new Super Smash Bros. game for the longest time now, and it seems like Nintendo has listened. The company has come out with a teaser for a new Super Smash Bros., and we are pretty sure we will be getting a better look at the game during Nintendo’s event.
Battlefield has had a long rivalry with the Call of Duty series, and it is about to get reignited with the launch of the two franchises. Battlefield V is all set to release on October 19 this year, and we are hoping for some more details about the game, and maybe some gameplay footage as well.
Battlefield V is going to be set in World War 2, and will feature multiple modes (not a battle royale though). It is also introducing female protagonists.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is ready to rumble, and it is taking a new path this time around. And by a different road we mean one where the developers did away with the single player campaign, and made the whole game multiplayer based. And it will feature a battle royale mode as well as zombies, lots of them.
Gears of War 5
Though we hardly know anything about the new Gears of War game, what we do know is that it is time for a new edition in this franchise and we are almost certain that Microsoft will be coming out with something at E3. We expect the next game to feature Marcus Fenix’s son JD Fenix as the protagonist, and continue where the previous game left off.
Kingdom Hearts 3
Kingdom Hearts 3 is a sequel that is going to make a lot of fans very happy because they have been waiting for it a while now. And we expect to see something of this game this time at E3.
Spider-Man is one of the most successful comic book characters from Marvel, and has seen several successful films and games made on it. And we are all set to get another amazing game this time around at E3. The trailers are out, and it all looks irresistible. And we can’t wait for more.
Beyond Good and Evil 2
This one is another much awaited release, and fans have been waiting patiently since the release of the first game back in 2003. This game was revealed at E3 last year, and we can expect some final details about the game this year. Oh and the trailer looks amazing.
Halo is one of those series that has somehow faded into the background with some of its hit and miss games. Many are of the opinion that Halo 4 was not up to the mark, but Halo 5: Guardians made some heads turn. And now we might just get our first look at the next iteration of Halo at E3.
Though there is not much mention about this game coming to E3 this year, it has been in the rumor mills quite a bit. It is one of the most anticipated games. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of CD Project Red’s most important projects and if they make a game as well as the last one, this is going to make fans rather happy.
Again, this is one of the most anticipated games this year, and it was first showcased at E3 last year when it started gathering a fanbase all around. BioWare’s newest venture Anthem, is something between Destiny, and an online RPG game.
The trailers have been doing the rounds for a while now, and people seem to have built up their expectations.
This is one game that has been developed keeping Mad Max: Fury Road in mind, and does a good job at being just that. The first game didn’t have people as psyched as the other games in this list, but it could be a improvement over the last version.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The Shadow of Tomb Raider is the third game in the rebooted series where Lara Croft is more a warrior than an archaeologist. And expectations are that the new game is going to continue in that vein. This time Lara Croft is on the trail of a Mayan relic in the Latin American jungles.
This one was a surprise that Bethesda sprung on the gaming world a few days ago. No one saw this coming. And according to rumors, this time Bethesda has taken a DayZ approach to this game, and made it multiplayer as well.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
Just as the Assassin’s Creed franchise was about to fade into the background of the gaming world, Ubisoft pulled things up with the release of Assassin’s Creed: Origins last year. Assassin’s Creed series has now officially taken a huge leap back in time, and this trend seems to be continuing with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey where the story is set in Ancient Greece.
There are many other games that will be unveiled during E3 2018, and we choose what we felt were the most significant ones. We will be updating the E3 2018 section with the latest news and stay tuned for more from us.
