There have been numerous rumors regarding what everyone hopes for from a Pokemon RPG game on Nintendo’s most successful platform – the Switch. And no one has any idea when the game might drop, and if speculations are to be believed, some say it might be this year while others think it might be 2019.
Although, now a job listing on Glassdoor may have shed some light on the progress of the development of the game. The job listing by the Pokemon Company, which has now been removed, was looking to hire a video game editor for the purpose of editing video game text for the next couple of years. Video game text would entail game text, strategy guides, manuals, press releases, marketing materials, and other things. But the advertisement does not mention which game in specific the company is looking to hire.
Based on the previously reported timeline for the Pokemon game and the timing of this advertisement, it can be assumed that it is for the same. And this would mean that the game is in the reported schedule for release. The extended period of hiring is speculated to be related to DLC that the game could get.
There has been no news from developer Nintendo about the game, and if we expect it release by next year then we can expect to hear something officially from the company this year at E3 2018. This will be the first Pokemon game to come to the Switch. The present lack of information may also be an effort from the company to keep the latest unveiling of Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch in the spotlight.
Usually, Pokemon games have seen early March or mid-October releases, and that means that we cannot rule out this year as October is still a way off.
