The war between the two tip games in the battle royale genre has been going on for less than a year now, but that does not mean that it has not been a fierce one. PUBG was the one to show the way for the other games in the battle royale arena, but Fortnite was quick to catch up and leave PUBG behind, tasting dust.
Fortnite took the lead in terms of players and profits on PC and consoles as a platform early this year and has managed to hold it over PUBG. But PUBG seems to have found its sweet spot with its Android port. Fortnite is only available on iOS, in terms of mobile device and for the time being, has managed to rack up quite a profit from it.

Fortnite has been teasing its Android version for a while now, and it seems we now have a solid lead in terms of when it might be hitting the Play Store. Tencent Games has tweeted a teaser about the launch of the Android version of the game. And the teaser is basically a straightforward tweet saying, “Fortnite wow! It’s coming.” Accompanied by an image that has July 24 propped on a calendar.
It is highly likely that it will be a China only release to begin with, because the image is marked with the logo of Tencent WeGame that is presently used in China. But the global version is imminent because Tencent has been trying to push WeGames to a global community to compete with the likes of Steam and others.
