Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display launched, starting at Rs 114,900
As expected, Apple has launched a 13.3-inch version of the MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display starts at Rs 114,900 in India and goes all the way up to Rs 134,900.
The new 13.3-inch Retina Display has a lower resolution than the 15-inch model at 2560×1600 pixels. The base model features a dual-core 2.5GHz Intel i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of flash storage and a rated battery life of up to 7 hours.
The higher-end model offers more storage of 256 GB and Apple even offers build to order models that will feature faster Intel i7 processors and up to 768 GB of flash storage.
Unlike the 15-inch model, Apple does not offer a dedicated GPU, so that’s something potential gamers and multimedia junkies will need to keep in mind.
As far as the I/O is concerned like the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, it has two thunderbolt ports, three USB 3.0 ports, a MagSafe connector, a HDMI connector, a SD card reader and an audio jack. At 0.75-inches it is thinner than even 1-inch and of course this has happened because Apple has eliminated the optical drive from the product.
The product is available starting today with Apple Authorized Resellers.
