HTC Explorer’s (Pico) global launch in Delhi on September 29

We have new details, which confirms that HTC will not launch the Radar (as we reported earlier) but the Pico aka the Explorer in Delhi on September 29. The event will be hosted by HTC’s newly appointed president of global sales and marketing, Jason Mackenzie, who will make the global announcement. India will be the first country to get the Explorer (Pico), which would in all likelihood replace the Wildfire S. Rumored specs point at a 3.2-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) display, a 600MHz processor, a 5.0 MP shooter and 384MB/512MB RAM/ROM. It will run on Gingerbread (Android 2.3.4) with HTC Sense 3.5 UI layered on top.

Thanks Rajiv!

On the HTC Pico as you mentioned in your previous article, it is not a device with special powers. On the contrary the overall look and feel is plasticky and cheap. What a way to cut on the costs.Wake up HTC. India is not a junk yard.

Yet another version of Sense with a different launcher.

So in a nutshell we have:

    MyTouch Sense
    Modified Sense on Rhyme
    Rosie Sense (standard android launcher)
and now this more small screen friendly Sense

    makes sense LOL :P

But I wonder if that means Sense 3.5 will have a feature that will let you select from different launcher styles since so far there are 3 different versions on Sense 3.5. hmmm Would make Sense even more customize-able yet
