HTC launches the One S in India for Rs 33,590, runs an overclocked S3 processor
HTC has launched the One S in India, which runs the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich and costs Rs 33,590. The device flaunts a slim design with it measuring just 7.8mm and also features a 4.3-inch AMOLED display with a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels.
Unlike the US variant, the Indian model of the device runs the previous generation Snapdragon S3 dual core processor clocked at 1.7GHz to compensate for the absence of the newer S4 dual core processor.
Apart from this, the device features HTC’s Image sense chip along with a 8-Megapixel camera with a f/2.0 aperture for improved low-light performance and also has a front facing camera. The device also comes with Beats Audio technology for a better music playback experience.
Other features of the device include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 1,650 mAh battery.
As with the other One series devices, HTC has partnered with DropBox to provide 25GB of free cloud storage for the next two years. The device is available in two colors – Metallic Silver and Gray.

Interesting to see how it only says dual core 1.7 GHz and doesn’t mention about S3.
