HTC India has given the One dual-SIM and the One mini a price cut and both the devices are now available on Indian e-commerce sites for Rs 42,990 and Rs 29,990 respectively. The price cut was reported by AndroidOS.in
The One mini, as the name suggests, is the mini variant of the flagship One and was launched in India back in October for Rs 36,790. A Rs 6,800 cut sees the price drop to Rs 29,990. The One dual-SIM, which was launched for Rs 53,590, gets a Rs 10,600 cut and now retails at Rs 42,990.
HTC India, if you remember, had recently also introduced a buyback offer on these phones wherein a user would get Rs 5,200 and Rs 4,300 off on exchanging a smartphone.
HTC hasn’t had the best of years, and though it launched devices like the One Max, Desire 501, Desire 601 and the Desire 700 in addition to the above devices, it reported a Q3 loss of $100 million. It has also seen its employees jump ship by allegedly stealing its trade secrets and selling them to a municipal government in China. Things are only getting worse, and not even Robert Downey Jr.’s star power seems to be enough to save the hapless Taiwanese company.
