Rumor has it: Samsung to make Google’s next Nexus not Motorola
Another leak coming from DigiTimes this morning has revealed that Samsung in all probability will make the next Nexus smartphone for Google. Well honestly, this news hasn’t come as a surprise to us since Samsung has made the previous two Nexus models (the first one was made by HTC) but what really shocks us is the fact that it hasn’t deputed its own vendor Motorola which was acquired by the Internet giant last year.
Google must have chosen Samsung to build its next Nexus device for two factors. By choosing an external vendor and not Motorola Mobility, Google would appease all those manufacturers who have long been assuming that Google will be biased towards Motorola. And the second factor behind this selection could be the fact that Google trusts Samsung more since it that Samsung is the best Android smartphone vendor in the world. Remember the original Nexus built by HTC did not do well in the market. We believe that this rumor is quite likely to come true but we’d still like to wait for any official confirmation from Google.
