LG Optimus 3D launched in India at Rs 37,000

While Europe was lucky enough to get the taste of LG’s 3D smartphone almost two months ago, looks like its our turn now to get the hang of it sometime around next month. Yes guys, LG has officially announced its first 3D smartphone in India – the LG Optimus 3D. The device will not only allow you to watch 3D content, it will also allow you to record videos in 3D and that too without having to sport those despicable eye-wear (3D glasses). Its based on Android 2.2 aka Froyo, can be upgraded to Gingerbread, offers a 4.3-inch 3D LCD capacitive touchscreen display, a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of on-board storage which is extensible up to 32GB. It features dual 5.0MP cameras at the back capable of capturing 3D 1080p videos at 24fps and 3D 720p videos at 30fps. Other tidbits include an HDMI port, a micro USB port, 9 hours of talk-time on 3G networks and 13 hours on 2G networks. Users can also download the world’s first 3D Augmented Reality (AR) browser on their device from the LGWorld. The Optimus 3D will be seen in retail outlets next month and to be able to own this 3D mobile monster, prepare yourself to spend somewhere close to Rs 37,000!

Nice phone by LG man.. Wish 3D TVs were as cheap as 3D phones.
