One of the top-free apps on the Nokia Store, Mundu TV app, has crossed 5 million downloads on Nokia phones. The app enables users to watch TV on their handset using 3G, Wi-Fi or GPRS connectivity. While other TV apps offer low quality videos on phones with GPRS connectivity, the mundu TV app streams channels more smoothly even on low-cost feature phones, claims Geodesic, the makers of this app. The app provides live and archived television from top content providers worldwide and has registered an average of 400,000 downloads per month. Mundu TV is available on a other mobile and desktop platforms, apart from Nokia. Over the next few months, Geodesic plans to launch a Windows Phone 7 version of this app. The roadmap includes new features such as video-on-demand, social media integration, enhanced usability and the addition of newer international channels in Q1 this year.
