Nokia announces Lumia 620 running Windows Phone 8 for $249

Nokia has announced another smartphone running Windows Phone 8 – The Lumia 620, which will be available for $249 (Rs 13,566 approx) off contract in the US. Its Indian pricing and availability has not been announced yet.

The Lumia 620 features a 3.8-inch WVGA display with Nokia’s ClearBlack filter, a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front facing camera, 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD card slot with support for up to 64GB of memory.

As far as connectivity is concerned Nokia packs in Wi-Fi a/b/g/n on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, NFC and Bluetooth 3.0. It has 1,300 mAh battery on which Nokia claims 14.6 hours of talk time.

Nokia talks about a dual-shot polycarbonate technique that it has used to build the Lumia 620. Through this technique, the company manages to mesh two different hues of polycarbonate together. As with the other Lumia products it will be offered in colorful variants with Nokia opting for the CMYK pallet for this model. It will be offered in lime green, yellow, black, cyan, magenta and white. As far as the dimensions are concerned it weighs 127 grams and is 11.02mm thick.
