Nokia is the latest company to send us a media invite for a launch event next week on December 16 in New Delhi. Though the invite is cryptic about Nokia’s plans, we expect the Finnish company to launch its two new phablets— the Lumia 1320 and the Lumia 1520— in India.
Both these phablets were unveiled at the Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi in October this year and are the company’s first devices to feature 6-inch displays. With bigger displays, both the phablets take advantage of a third new column of tiles on the homescreen.
To recap on the specifications, the Lumia 1320 features a 6-inch 720p display, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel camera, 3,400mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card along with 7GB of free cloud storage. It will be available in orange, yellow, white and black color variants.
The Lumia 1520, on the other hand, features a 6-inch 1080p ClearBack full HD display, 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Nokia Camera app, a 3,400mAh battery, 32GB internal memory that is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card slot along with 7GB of free Skydrive space. It will be available in yellow, white, black and glossy red color variants.
