After the success of the iPhone zero plan rental offer, Reliance has announced a similar 24-month-contract for the Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 phablets. Under this zero plan rental offer, a user can buy a brand new unit of any of these phablets at zero down payment, and instead pay EMI for 24 months for using unlimited voice, texting, roaming and data services on Reliance network. Reliance is offering a monthly rental plan of Rs 3,349 for the Lumia 1520 and Rs 2,199 for the Lumia 1320 on a 24 month contract.
This monthly rental is inclusive of taxes, and allows users to make unlimited local and STD calls, SMS (up to 3,000 as per TRAI’s restrictions), national roaming and 3G data without paying for any additional usage bill for 24 months. However, this plan does not include free international calls and international roaming.
If one chooses to opt for this plan, one will be paying a total of Rs 80,376 (Rs 3,349 per month for two years) for a brand new unit of the Lumia 1520 handset (priced at Rs 46,999) on a 24-month contract with Reliance. Similarly, a user will pay a total of Rs 52,776 (Rs 2,199 per month for 24 months) for the Lumia 1320 handset (priced for Rs 23,999) on a 24-month contract with Reliance.
Both the phones will also be available under an upfront down payment plan under which a user can make a downpayment of Rs 11,305 for the Lumia 1520 and Rs 7,422 for the Lumia 1320.
The Lumia 1320 is also available on 12 months EMI plan from Reliance, under which a consumer can pay Rs 3,152 per month for 12 months.
This deal is available with Citibank, HDFC, ICICI and Standard Chartered banks.
