Nokia Lumia 720 goes up on Flipkart for Rs 18,500

Nokia might not have officially announced the price for its upcoming Lumia 720 but that isn’t stopping online retailer Flipkart from putting it up for Rs 18,500. During its unveiling last month, Nokia had mentioned it would price the Lumia 720 below Rs 20,000 and we believe that Rs 18,500 is a great price for the device.

I was pretty impressed by the phone, in terms of both specification and design during my brief hands-on at the launch event. The Lumia 720 features a 9mm slim unibody design that carries forward the color palette of the new Lumia smartphones including the polycarbonate plastic finish. Hardware specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. It also sports a 4.3-inch WVGA clear black display that works with gloves too, just like the one on the Lumia 920. It also features a 6.7-megapixel wide-angle camera at the rear with a 1/1.36″ sensor size with backside illumination and an aperture of f/1.9 and a front-facing wide-angle 1.3-megapixel camera.

Nokia is also touting a 2,000 mAh battery, which is says should be good enough for up to 24.3 hours of 2G calls, 13.4 hours of 3G calls or 79 hours of music playback. If the device performs as claimed, this could be the first Windows Phone device to be able to see through a day of usage.

Thanks Murtuza for the tip!

It will be able to run Temple run. Developer need to optimize the app to run on 512MB devices.

        Ex:
Asphalt 7 was only available for 1Gb devices at launch. Later the developer optimized the app and now all phones can run it (520, 620 and 720).

True! They just need to optimize.
