What is Nokia announcing in India on July 6? [update]
Yesterday, Nokia sent us a press invite for event in New Delhi on July 6. The invite has massive Dark Knight poster in the background, which intimates towards the launch of something related to the year’s biggest super hero movie. Well multiple sources have confirmed to us that Nokia might launch the long awaited Nokia Lumia 900, As the invite suggests Nokia could launch the official Dark Knight edition of the Lumia 900 along with the standard version of the Lumia 900, however this has not been confirmed to us.
Additionally, we have been told that Nokia could also launch the Lumia 610, which is Nokia’s low-end Windows Phone and this could perhaps help Nokia counteract the poor sales of Symbian devices and stem the growth of Android in the Indian market.
Apart from the hardware, we have been told that Nokia could also launch the Nokia Music store in India for Lumia hardware, including the currently available Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. This store could come in tandem with a Mix Radio music streaming application. In fact, Nokia may also release a version of the Mix Radio app for the recently released Nokia PureView 808.
