Rumors and image leaks are now coming in thick and fast as we approach the last couple of days before the Mobile World Congress. The folks at SlashGear are the latest to add to this and have come across the first good image of Samsung’s Note 8.0.
Displayed on a large screen at the MWC convention center, the Note 8.0 stays true to our previous reports. The tablet looks to sport an 8-inch screen with an S-Pen and a design language that resembles the form-factor of the Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy Note 10.1 with similar bezel and a silvery rim. The image also shows an earpiece speaker on the top the tablet, which gives more weight to previous rumors that some variants of Note 8.0 will have cellular connectivity to make voice calls.
As we’ve reported earlier, the Note 8.0 is expected to be powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor; 2GB RAM and come with 16/32GB of storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 4,600mAh battery. There have also been rumors suggesting a sub $300 price and if that’s the case it will have the edge on the iPad mini in terms of specs and price.
We’ll have more information on the Note 8.0 when Samsung launches it at the MWC.
