Samsung Galaxy Mini II leaked before MWC
With Mobile World Congress right around the corner, smartphone leaks are coming thick and fast. This time around the team at GSM Arena have stumbled upon the Samsung Galaxy Mini II.
According to the report device is expected to sport a 3.3-inch display with a lowly resolution of 320×480 and will be powered by an 800MHz processor, which kind of seems archaic in this day and age of quad-core processors. Other features include a 3-megapixel camera, 3GB of storage and HSPA connectivity. As far as the operating system goes it will have Android 2.3 Gingerbread, unfortunately there is no talk about ICS, which is expected considering the low-end specs of the device.
Unlike some of the higher profile leaks we have seen over the past few weeks, the Galaxy Mini II seems like a more low-to-mid range smartphone aimed at first time smartphone buyers. Clearly this device will be positioned between the low-end Galaxy Y and the mid-range Galaxy Ace Plus. The guys at GSM Arena are expecting a pre-MWC launch, but what ever be the case it will surely pop up at MWC.
