Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 in India last month and announced that the device will hit the stores on April 11 along with the rest of the world. Though the South Korean company has yet to announced the price, mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom has revealed that the flagship device’s MRP is Rs 54,300 and it will be available in the market for Rs 51,500.
To recap on the specifications, Samsung has unsurprisingly launched the Exynos 5 Octa processor powered Galaxy S5 in India. It features a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with external memory support for up to 64GB.
Also included is a 16-megapixel primary camera with additional features like selective focus, a 2-megapixel front camera and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under an overhauled TouchWiz UI. On the connectivity front, though the international variant supports 4G-LTE, it is not supported in India. Additional features also include water and dust resistance, a fingerprint scanner on the home button and a heart rate sensor at the back.
