Samsung Galaxy Young launched in India for Rs 8,010


Samsung like always is bulldozing its Android smartphone line to lower price segments in India and it appears it launches a new phone almost everyday. Yesterday, the company launched the Galaxy Star and now the Galaxy Young is also up on its online e-Store for Rs 8,010.

As is the case with most low-end Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy Young is a dual-SIM smartphone and it features a 3.2-inch display with a HVGA resolution and is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and has a 3-megapixel camera on the back.

It’s super light at 112 grams but is a little chubby at 12.5mm. It has a microSD card slot and has an 1,300 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on top of which the TouchWiz nature UX runs. As a part of the TouchWiz UI, Samsung adds a number of add on features like the Easy Mode, a number of motion controls, free DropBox storage and the Samsung ChatOn messenger.
