Samsung sends out “Now your world is open” invite to launch smartphone on Valentine’s Day
Samsung has just sent us a cryptic invitation for an event on February 14 in New Delhi. The invite just says “Now your world is open” and has the silhouette of a smartphone underneath a white cloth.
While we don’t know for sure what Samsung could be launching so soon after launching the Galaxy Grand a couple of weeks ago, if we were to guess we would reckon it is the Galaxy S III mini. The silhouette of the device in the invite is very similar to that of the Galaxy S III mini. Moreover, when we asked Samsung about its plans to launch this smartphone in India during the Galaxy Grand launch, we were told it was coming soon.
The Galaxy S III mini features a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Other specifications include a 5-megapixel rear and a VGA front camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. It will come in 8GB and 16GB variants.
