After multiple delays (it was originally planned for a mid-June launch), Samsung will finally take the wraps off its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in India on August 10, multiple sources have confirmed. Boasting a 10.1-inch display, the new Tab runs on Android Honeycomb (we’d like to believe it to be Android 3.1), an nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz, 1GB of RAM with 16/32/64 GB variants for internal storage and dual cameras (3.0MP on the rear and 2.0 MP on the front). The Tab 10.1 is marginally slimmer than the iPad 2 (8.6 mm) and has a 7,000 mAh battery that Samsung claims is good enough for playing nine hours of video or 72 hours of music. We haven’t heard about the pricing, yet, but we won’t be surprised if it is priced similar to that of the iPad 2.

Will the tab be 3g enabled?

i too have the same question! Will this be 3g enebled? and what abt the 8.9′ tab? Will it reach india soon?

I can’t understand who goes for Sammy products?! Sure, their household appliances are good but when it comes to their mobile devices, either they are plastic crap or are pure copy of a certain fruit company’s products. As for this tab, I absolutely hated the responsiveness of the screen and the lagginess of the device even though it seems to be highly specced. If they price it near the iPad 2, it’ll just axe it’s own footing here in India as well. A company that has been known for such wonderful and innovative devices has merely become a copycat in recent years. And eeeewwww @ the plastic on this device

Seems to be a rumour. Not sure what ‘sources’ is BGR referring to…?

I find it hard to believe the so called release date of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in India. Who are these sources? I am unable to confirm this with anyone I know at Samsung Mobile India.
