Samsung has sent out another tweet that states that it will launch the Galaxy S IV on March 14, at the famous Time Square in Big Apple starting at 7 PM (March 15, 5:30 AM IST). Only a couple of days ago Samsung’s head of IT and mobile JK Shin revealed that the Galaxy S IV will be launched in New York and the company had tweeted about a ‘Mobile Unpacked’ event in New York on March 14.
Of course, not much is known about the Galaxy S IV. So far leaks and rumors have been rather sporadic. Currently, it is rumored to have a 4.99-inch full-HD display, a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and a new design. As far as the processor is concerned there have been some conflicting reports. Previously, it was stated that Samsung would use its own Exynos Octa Processor, but then it was revealed that it was having production issues and so it could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 CPU, which is a quad-core chip.
That said, we could also end up with a situation where Samsung ends up using different CPUs for different markets. Samsung could use Qualcomm’s solution for LTE markets as it has an integrated LTE modem and it could use its own chipset for non-LTE markets like India. Samsung adopted a similar strategy for the Galaxy S III.
