Samsung, as we all know by now, is expected to take the wraps off the much-awaited Galaxy S5 at its Unpacked event in MWC next week. With just two days to go for the event, Samsung today put up a video of that all but confirms the arrival of the Galaxy S5.
The 30 second video shows a montage of photos with words like ‘curiosity’, ‘explorer’, ‘peace’, ‘free’, ‘family’ and ‘connect’ among others. With what is a subtle indication at the flagship device expected to be unveiled at the forthcoming event, all these words are raised to 5. The video then ends with the words, “The New Galaxy.”
From what we know of the device so far, the Galaxy S5 is expected to sport a 5.24-inch AMOLED QHD (2560×1440) display, either an Exynos 6 or a Snapdragon 805 processor (depending upon region), 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage depending on the variant and a 3,200mAh battery. On the camera front, it looks like the device might get a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 3.2-megapixel front shooter. Some reports have also claimed that Samsung could unveil two variants of the flagship device at the MWC.
It is not just the hardware that we are looking forward to, Samsung is also likely unveil its new TouchWiz UI, which by the recent leaks sports a very flat design.
