Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop launched in India, prices start from Rs 65,999

Acer is refreshing its series of gaming laptops by introducing the new Nitro 5 gaming series. The new laptop comes in a number of variants, with the option to choose between the latest 8th generation of Intel Core processors or AMD Rhyzen processors. It also features an elegant laser textured design.

Targeted towards budget gaming enthusiasts, the new Nitro 5 laptop comes with a starting price of Rs 65,999 for the AMD variants and Rs 72,999 for the base model with the Intel processor. The laptop will be available in both offline and online stores.

The Acer Nitro 5 comes powered with an 8th Generation Intel Core processor paired alongside an NVIDIA GTX 1050 or 1050Ti graphics card. On the other hand, the AMD variant comes with the Ryzen 5 processor tagged along with the Radeon RX560 graphics solution. The former variant is a little high-end, as it is equipped with Intel Optane memory, which gives the laptop a boost with media files and in-game loading times.

To deliver a good gaming experience, Acer has equipped the Nitro 5 with a Full HD IPS display. In the audio department, the laptop is getting high-quality speakers that are equipped with Dolby Audio Premium, and Acer TrueHarmony technology. For online gaming and video streaming, Acer has also included a front-facing HD web camera.

Additionally, Acer also claims to have clocked the system memory at 2666MHz, making the laptop 10 percent faster than its competitors. Acer’s Nitro Sense control software is also included for better cooling and system monitoring. The software allows users to keep a check on CPU and GPU heat levels.

Connectivity options include, hyper-fast USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet port. In the wireless department, you get updated dual-band Wi-Fi, which is said to sport speeds of 1.73 GBPS. It’s recorded to be four times faster than the traditional 802.11ac standard.
