For all the designers who were complaining about Photoshop not being on their smartphones, Adobe seems to have finally heeded your plea. A year after launching Photoshop for tablets, Adobe today launched the Photoshop Touch for Android and Apple smartphones.
Photoshop Touch at first glance looks pretty much the same as tablet version, only scaled down to fit the smaller screens on the phone. In terms of features it has all the image editing tools that are found on the tablet version such as layers, advanced selections tools, adjustments and filters color drops, acrylic paint and ripple. Adobe has also added certain features specific to the smartphone version like Scribble Selection wherein you can select a part of the image using just one finger and Camera Fill for real-time creative blending of your camera feed with layers. Photoshop Touch for smartphones is also included in the Adobe Creative Cloud, which gives a user the ability to start and edit a project on multiple platforms like phone, tablet and PC.
