Aircel has just announced it will bring the iPhone 4S to India on its Facebook page. It has not mentioned when or given any details of pricing or tariff plans but the day is not far away. Everything at the moment is going as we had reported about November 24 being the likely launch date. Our sources tell us the iPhone 4S will be expensive and will start from close to Rs 40,000 for the 16GB variant and cross Rs 50,000 for the top-end 64GB model. Airtel will be the second carrier to launch the iPhone 4S in India. Both the carriers will also launch the 8GB version of the iPhone 4, which will be priced upwards of Rs 30,000. We will be following this story closely and bring more details building up to the launch. Stay tuned.

i just called the istore in mumbai and they think the price will be around 47000 for the iphone 4s 16gb. if this is true, no ones going to buy it from here. It would be smarter to buy it from singapore and hongkong and if ur worried about the warranty, dont be! your paying rs15000 nmore anyways. u can get a round trip to go the hk or singapore and back for that much!
