Bharti Airtel has added three more cities to its fourth generation network circle as it has today launched its prepaid and postpaid 4G services in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. The operator is already providing its 4G LTE services in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Pune.
Airtel had earlier won licenses for using spectrum for 4G services in Kolkata, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra, which excluded Mumbai, and it additionally acquired 49 percent interest in Qualcomm’s India entities that hold BWA licenses in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala.
Airtel has introduced several plans for both prepaid and postpaid customers. They can opt for a break free plan with 6GB of free data for Rs 999, or a break free Max plan offering 9GB of data at Rs 1,399, or an 18GB Ultra plan for Rs 1,999. Those with an extensive usage of data can also go with the Rs 2,999 plan offering 30GB of free data or with the Supreme plan with 50GB data priced at Rs 4,799. All these are monthly plans and are valid for thirty days each.
Additionally, user will need to pay Rs 4,999 for devices like indoor CPE with Wi-Fi or 4G dongle.
Airtel is giving introductory offers on these plans with Rs 999 of cash back offered on Rs 999 plan with a monthly bill discount of Rs 167. This will be valid for six month with free device rental for a month. The Rs 1,399 plan with Rs 2,798 cash back and a Rs 466 monthly bill discount, and is valid for 6 months with 2 month of rental off. For Rs 1,999 plan one will get Rs 3,746 cash back and the validity of the plan goes till 12 months with 75 percent of discount on the device cost. The Rs 2,999 and Rs 4,799 plans come with Rs 4,999 of cash back, offering monthly bill discount of Rs 417 and are valid for 12 months with no charges applicable on the device.
