About a few month ago, in the revision of its myPlan Infinity postpaid offers, Airtel discontinued its Rs 649 plan, leaving behind only the Rs 399, Rs 499 and Rs 799 offers under Rs 1,000. However, Airtel has now brought back the Rs 649 plan with improved offerings.
The resurrected plan offers 50GB of data per month, along with unlimited voice calls, even on roaming, and without any FUP limit. The plan also offers 100 SMS per day for the entire billing cycle, and access to Airtel Wynk Music, Airtel TV and Airtel Secure device protection scheme. Airtel is also offering free Amazon Prime Subscription with the Rs 649 plan.
In addition to that, with the new Rs 649 plan, Airtel is also offering one free add-on connection. Earlier, the telco offered add-on connections starting with the Rs 799 plan, but the company has now modified them. Essentially, the add-on connection lets you add a free child Airtel postpaid account to yours, with which you can share the benefits of your plan.
Earlier, Airtel charged Rs 99 to add a number to your account, but this is entirely charge-free. The voice calls to this add-on connections will be completely free as well, without any FUP limit and the data benefit will be shared between the connections. For example, if you add two postpaid connections with the Rs 649 plan, your data benefits of 50GB will be shared between the two numbers, while voice calls will be free for the entire duration.
Airtel recently also rolled out a new postpaid plan priced at Rs 499. The offer comes with unlimited local, STD, and incoming and outgoing roaming calls. It also includes 40GB of 3G/ 4G data, with rollover facility, and a year of Amazon Prime subscription. It has a validity of one billing cycle, which is 30 days.
