After launching the Alcatel 1X and the Alcatel 5 at CES 2018, the company has now added the Alcatel 3C to its portfolio. The smartphone is available for $158 (Rs 10,000 approximately) in Italy. Available in Metallic Black, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Gold color, the smartphone comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

In terms of specifications, the Alcatel 3C comes with a 6-inch 1,440×720 display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek MT8321 chipset, clocked at 1.3GHz quad-core CPU with Cortex-A7 cores and paired with 1GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card.
On the camera front, there is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the rear, and a 5-megapixel fixed focus snapper on the front. Armed with a 3,000mAh battery, the smartphone comes with connectivity options like dual-SIM functionality, Wi-Fi 802.11n (no 802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and LTE. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Earlier this month, Alcatel had announced that it is updating the design and look of its smartphones. The new phones will feature 18:9 screens made by TCL itself. The reports also suggested that they might launch smartphones with face unlock support as well.
Meanwhile, at CES 2018 the company also announced that it will sell Alcatel tablets exclusively via Flipkart. Alcatel’s percentage share on Flipkart in India is at 15.1 percent among large-screen tablets.
