Alcatel is bringing its budget smartphone, the Alcatel 3V to the stateside. The Alcatel 3V was introduced early this year at MWC 2018 for the European market and it is coming to the United States next week. The smartphone will be competitively priced at $149.99 and will take on similarly priced devices from Motorola and Blu in the US.
The Alcatel 3V features more design with premium materials including metal-and-glass build that gives it a premium look for its budget price. It sports a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and support for taller 18:9 aspect ratio. Since the front is nearly dominated by the display, Alcatel 3V houses the fingerprint sensor at the back.
The fingerprint sensor is placed right below the camera module. Speaking of cameras, it features dual rear camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. The primary 12-megapixel camera has f/2.2 aperture and supports phase detection autofocus. There is also a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash for those low-light selfies.
The Alcatel 3V comes equipped with connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and 4G LTE. It will be offered only in single SIM variant in the US and is powered by MediaTek MT8735A quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB RAM and option for 16GB or 32GB storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
