OnePlus 6 Amber Red, one of the most striking color on offer this year, goes on its first sale today. The smartphone is available as part of Amazon’s Prime Day sale and is one of the biggest launches of the 36-hour sale. The OnePlus 6 Amber Red comes with metal and glass design and a glossy red finish that makes it strikingly different from any other OnePlus flagship in the past. It offers 8GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage and it is priced at Rs 39,999.
Amazon Prime Day sale begins with discounts and offers
Amazon Prime Day kickstarted with huge discounts on smart devices, electronics, fashion products and accessories. The sale began at 12 noon today and will be live till midnight tomorrow. The Amazon Prime Day sale is exclusively for Prime members and offers discounts on mainstream electronic devices.
One of the major discount is on Amazon devices like Echo speakers, Fire TV stick and Kindle e-readers. If you are a bookworm then Amazon is offering Rs 1,000 off on Kindle Unlimited. Other deals include discounts on best-selling smartphones, smart TVs among others.
Flipkart counters with Big Shopping Days
Flipkart’s answer to Amazon Prime Day is called Big Shopping Days being held from July 16 to July 19. The sale offers discount on smartphones like Google Pixel 2, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and sees launch of new models like Infinix Hot 6 Pro. There are also deals on laptops, sound bar, game consoles and DSLRs.
Reliance Jio is not importing feature phone
Reliance Jio has clarified that it is not importing feature phones into the country. It confirmed that JioPhone and other feature phones are being made in the country. The clarification comes reports of Jio evading import duty by importing the feature phone from Indonesia.
OnePlus applies for ‘Warp Charge’ trademark
OnePlus has applied for the trademark “Warp Charge” that could replace the Dash Charge branding currently used by the smartphone maker. The company might be appealing to Star Trek fans and using a unique name at the same time. If approved the next version of fast charging might be called Warp Charge globally.
BSNL counters Reliance JioGigaFiber with new FUP limit
The state-owned BSNL has revised its Rs 4,999 FTTH plan as an attempt to counter JioGigaFiber roll out next month. With revised plan, BSNL is offering 1.5TB data with speeds up to 100MB. Once the said data limit is hit, the speed will be cut down to 2Mbps. Along with the plan, BSNL is also offering free voice calls, and an email ID with 5GB space.
