Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One reportedly being rolled out

HTC One users should be able to update their phones to the latest version of Android in the coming days. A report on AndroidCentral says that some One users have been notified to download a 400+MB file update to upgrade their phone to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

According to the changelog, Android 4.2.2 brings a new lockscreen style with an option to add widgets, an enhanced launcher bar, quick settings panel and a new Android Daydream mode. Users can now long press on the home button to access the options menu and Google Now can be accessed by swiping up from the capacitive home button. HTC’s own Blinkfeed and Zoe too have been tweaked a bit with added support for Instagram and offer enhanced performance.

There’s no word on when One users in India will be able to update their phones. If you own an HTC One, do let us know in the comments section below when you get the update.
