Last week, Apple launched the upgrade to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Starting today, the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would be up for pre-order via Amazon India, Flipkart, Tata Cliq and Infibeam. You can also walk-in and pre-book the iPhone 8 at retail stores as well. Retailers such as Brightstar, and distributors including Rashi Peripherals and Redington India would also be processing pre-orders. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will go on sale starting September 29.
In India, the iPhone 8 is priced at Rs 64,000 and Rs 77,000 for the 64GB and 256GB variants, respectively. The iPhone 8 Plus is priced at Rs 73,000 and Rs 86,000 for the 64GB and 256GB variants, respectively. If you choose to book the device offline, you will receive a call or SMS confirming when your iPhone arrives.
Amazon India offers for iPhone 8
In terms of offers, Amazon India has two offers. First, Reliance Jio guarantees 70 percent buyback if you upgrade to iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. However, please note that the offer will be valid starting September 29 to December 31. Also, if the payment for the new iPhone is made via Citibank credit or World Debit card, then you get Rs 10,000 cashback. This will bring down the price of the iPhone 8 64GB model to Rs 54,000, while the 256GB model will drop to Rs 67,000. Similarly, iPhone 8 Plus 64GB and 256GB variants will be available for Rs 63,000 and Rs 76,000, respectively. Amazon is also offering additional Rs 10,000 off on exchange of iPhones to buy the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. Customers are also eligible to buy the iPhone 8 under no cost EMI starting Rs 5,334 per month. However, no cost EMI is only valid if the purchase for the smartphone is made via credit cards. Flipkart offers for iPhone 8
On the other hand, Flipkart is also offering no cost EMI and an exchange offer for buying the new iPhones. You can buy the Apple iPhone 8 (64GB) at a no-cost EMI of Rs 5,334, while the iPhone 8 Plus starts at an EMI of Rs 6,084. Flipkart is also offering up to Rs 23,000 off on exchange.
